Today we did something we haven't done in a while: We had a short meeting. There were only a few issues to triage and none of them were controversial -- which, it turns out, is the most common reason we turn a small number of issues into a long meeting.

WiX v4.0.2 Released

WiX v4.0.2 is now available. WiX v4.0.2 contains fixes for a handful of bugs serious enough to warrant another point release of WiX v4. Half of those bugs came about from my work with a FireGiant customer moving to WiX v4, including work to take advantage of the new WiX v4 build pipeline to replace extensions and utilities that built on top of WiX v3. We're grateful for their help uncovering these bugs. Remember that FireGiant customers get the benefit of guaranteed bug fixes for WiX and, for some, the priceless opportunity to work directly with me.

Today's meeting was relatively quick -- because we had only a handful of issues to triage -- and quiet, because the to-be-triaged issues were relatively noncontroversial. (We did surprise and delight the audience by announcing WiX v4.0.2, coming very soon.) I appreciate peaceful and short meetings as much as the next person, but if you're looking for more action in your favorite open-source triage meetings, go find a bug in WiX that has the potential for virtual fisticuffs.
