Setup Matters

The meeting this week had much less drama to discuss, as various brouhahas have been resolved favorably. Instead, we got to do our typical bit of triage and design discussion, which felt refreshingly normal.

In addition to a brief amount of triage, today was Story Day. So grab a warm beverage, settle in a comfy chair in front of the fire, and get ready to listen to Rob talk about some history and modern-day issues between your humble WiX Toolset maintainers and the .NET Foundation.

Today we triaged one issue and discussed one design question. Each took about half the meeting, which is just a happy coincidence.

Today we were going to spend some time discussing an open WiX v4 design question but decided instead that we'd spend a fair amount of time discussing one of our new, untriaged issues. See if you can guess which one it is.

Today's meeting was the shortest we've had in a while. We accomplished this not by talking faster or cutting microphones when I start to ramble but by cutting items from the agenda. See you next time, design discussions! Try it during your next remote meeting.

When today's meeting started, we had only four new issues to triage and all were from Sean. Rob tempted the wrath of the whatever from high atop the thing by saying that because Sean opened them, discussion would be minimal. It turns out, gentle readers, that discussion was not minimal.
