Setup Matters

Welcome to the fourth quarter of calendar year 2020. As hard as it is to believe, time is still passing at a normal rate and eventually 2020 will be over. Today, triage was brief and we're done triaging issues for WiX v4.0 Preview Zero, so we spent most of the meeting instead discussing open issues that are part of Preview Zero.

Today we finished triaging all the open issues to determine which ones are required before we can release WiX v4.0 Preview Zero. Now we just have to fix them. Next meeting, we'll instead spend that triage time discussing open issues to get a bit more speed than talking asynchronously in wix-devs email threads.

Today we triaged incoming issues and in an endurance marathon of triage, also triaged WiX v4.0 issues to determine which need to be resolved before we can ship WiX v4.0 Preview Zero.

For today's meeting, we served an appetizer of new-issue triage and a robust entrée of WiX v4.0 Preview Zero triage. No dessert was served yet after-dinner drinks were plentiful, at least in my office.

Sean helped triage a multitude of v4 issues today, attending from the airport, mere minutes away from the start of a 14-hour reverse-time-travel adventure back to the United States. As we went to press, we can report he landed safely and is now a jet-lagged resident of the Northern Hemisphere.

Today's supersized meeting was spent triaging issues, almost all of which are about WiX v4. Next meeting, we'll get back to triaging open WiX v4.0 issues to prioritize them for Preview Zero (coming soon!) and later.
