Setup Matters

This week we had a moderate number of bugs but almost all of them were "pre-triaged" by your hard-working WiX virtual team. Even so, the meeting was chock-full of news about WiX v4, a pull-request review, and news from yours truly about bugs.

With a small number of bugs needing triage, this week's meeting was short but we got to spend a bit of time also talking about WiX v4.

Today's meeting is the last in summer 2017. (Well, summer in the northern hemisphere.) Pack up the grill and get out the sweaters and cider for the upcoming cool autumn nights of coding.

Today's meeting represented a huge mental shift: Instead of meeting Tuesdays, today's meeting took place on a Thursday. We haven't met on Thursdays since WiX Online Meeting #53 back in January 2015. Thursdays are also the traditional meeting day for Back In The Day(tm) when WiX meetings were physical things, at Rob's house or a random conference room on Microsoft's Redmond campus.

Welcome to August 2017 Patch Tuesday/WiX Online Meeting number 132! Today's meeting was just about triaging our open bugs, as we're still in the gearing-up phase for finishing WiX v4.0. But details on that are forthcoming so stay tuned.
