Schedule
First, let’s talk about the schedule. Season 1 of the Deploy Dojo was weekly. While it was fun to blast through topics each week, and I learned a lot about presenting via live stream, that pace was not sustainable. Plus we added “Monthly Office Hours” for FireGiant customers and already have our monthly WiX Online Meetings. So it made sense to make the Deployment Dojo Season 2 shows monthly as well.
So, here’s the monthly schedule:
- First Wednesday: Deployment Dojo Live show
- Second Wednesday: FireGiant Office Hours
- Third Wednesday: WiX Online Meeting live
- Fourth Wednesday: Deployment Dojo replay available
All times are 10:30 AM Pacific.

If you’re wondering if you should attend the Deployment Dojo live or watch the replay, I recommend both, if you can work the live show time into your schedule. By attending live, you’ll get to interact with me and David and those interactions absolutely shape the show. S2E1 The Fundamentals
To be honest, it felt like it took 10 or 15 minutes to really get back into the swing of presenting live. As I mention at the beginning of every show, the Deployment Dojo is a live show which means it is not preplanned or rehearsed. I have a rough idea of the topic to discuss then we jump right into it. But I forgot the first show is extra hard because a foundation for the rest of the season needs to be laid down.
So that’s what we do in this first episode. We lay down the fundamentals and I think I say “fundamentals” too many times. But there are some unintuitive MSBuild behaviors that are important to understand. With lots of examples, I hope we do just that.
