WiX Online Meeting #140 Highlights

Lots of interesting Q&A during today's meeting that don't fit our format here. So, read this, enjoy these words, and watch the recorded meeting too

Issue triage

docbug: SetProperty/@Value not marked as required, from @jchoover, suggests that an attribute that is required should be marked as required in the WiX schema. We agreed and, even better, Jacob agreed to take on the fix.
Integrate wix installer build into build process, from @christophedemey, shows another instance of the problems MSBuild v15 introduced. We took this as a doc bug for WiX v3.14, to show how projects need to import the WiX MSBuild targets.

Security release release

After the last meeting, Rob widely announced the availability of the beta — now release candidate — releases of the WiX v3.x security release. We continued to receive a soupçon of positive feedback and no negative feedback, so we decided it’s time to release the release. And while December is positively bursting with available holidays to continue the WiX tradition of shipping releases on holidays, we decided to wait until 1-January to do the paperwork to make WiX v3.10.4 and v3.11.1 officially stable releases.
